Like an architect building a one-of-a-kind home, we begin by finding out what you want in your one-of-a-kind Custom Journey. We are consultants with deep expertise in the cultures and lands of the Asia/Pacific region. Our Travel Specialists have decades of firsthand experience traveling in the region. The Custom Journey Process: 1. Call or email a Travel Specialist for a complimentary consultation. 2. Answer our Client Questionnaire by email or over the phone. 3. Have an in-depth personal consultation via phone and email on every aspect of your personalized itinerary. 4. Receive a detailed proposed itinerary and estimated cost at no obligation. 5. The itinerary is hammered out in fine detail through further dialogue. 6. Once you are sure this is your trip of a lifetime, submit a $1,000 per-person deposit to confirm it. 7. A Sign Up Packet and customized Travel Guide book is sent to you, with detailed destination information, medical info and more. 8. The dialogue continues, questions are answered. 9. We confirm arrangements, then the final invoice is presented. 10. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. 11. Final documents are sent, including air tickets, final itinerary, customized contact information, and more. Client Questionnaire When you are ready to start planning your Custom Journey, we will begin by wanting to know you better. You may not know the answer to all the questions—don’t worry, that’s where we come in. a. Will you be traveling with family or friends? How many people are in your group? b. Do you have specific dates in mind? c. About how many days do you expect the trip to last? d. Which destinations are you interested in? e. Do you have specific interests that you would like to concentrate on such as art, architecture, archaeology, wildlife, spas, cuisine, textiles, religion, sports, schools or nature? f. Do you like to have activities planned sun up to sun down, or do you prefer some downtime? g. Do you have an interest in active travel (hiking, biking, kayaking, etc.)? h. If you are of active disposition, do you consider 2 hours of hiking enough or do you like to go all day? i. On trips past, what were some of the activities or specific things that you most enjoyed? j. What type of accommodations do you generally prefer? Only five-star? Small, boutique properties? Nice, but not over the top? k. Do you have an approximate budget in mind for the trip? l. Are you celebrating a special occasion on this journey? m.
